Frequently asked questions

Install and activate the plugin, add your courts under BoardIt → Courts and place the shortcode [boardit_board] on a page. Want members to see their own bookings as well? Put [boardit_my_reservations] on a second page.

Members are ordinary WordPress users. Add them under Users → Add New with the role Tennis club member. Under BoardIt → Members you see an overview with booking counts, and you can search and block members.

With their email address and WordPress password, via the login form on the booking board. Forgotten password? With the “Forgot password?” link they choose a new one themselves.

A member clicks a free slot, adds playing partners and confirms, with up to four players per booking. For tennis the number of players determines the playing time (15 minutes per player); padel and pickleball courts have a fixed playing time. Members cancel and move their own future bookings.

Yes. Under BoardIt → Settings you set the opening hours, how many days ahead members may book and how many bookings a member may have at the same time, among other things.

Yes. With fixed reservations you reserve courts once or every week. Those times can no longer be booked by members. This is part of BoardIt Pro.

Yes. Every player gets an email when a booking is made, moved or cancelled, with a calendar file (.ics) and a button to add it to Google Calendar. You can change sender, subject and text yourself.

Yes. Under BoardIt → Settings you choose the colours of the board, such as free and booked slots, your own bookings and the buttons.

Yes. The board adapts to every screen. On a phone the times stay in view while scrolling, and members can switch between a horizontal and a vertical view.

A WordPress website with WordPress 6.2 or higher and PHP 7.4 or higher. Nothing else.

No. BoardIt works on its own, and members and bookings stay in your own WordPress database. Only for the optional usage opt-in and for Pro licences and updates does the plugin connect to Freemius.

Seven: English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. Every WordPress user can choose their own language.

Yes. No trial period, no credit card and as many courts as you like. Everything except the five Pro extras is included.

One club website for one year, regardless of the number of members. Updates and priority support are included.

Through the secure Freemius checkout, with a credit or debit card or PayPal. Freemius is our reseller (Merchant of Record): it handles the payment and VAT and emails you the invoice.

Buy from your dashboard via BoardIt → BoardIt Pro and the licence is activated automatically. Bought on this website? You receive an email with the Pro download and your licence key; install the Pro plugin and enter the key.

Yes. The licence renews every year; you can cancel at any time before the renewal date from your Freemius account or via the link in the emails. Pro stays active until the end of the paid period. After that BoardIt keeps working as the free version, with all courts, members and bookings.
